The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Vouhé, in Charente-Maritime, 30 km east of La Rochelle, dates from the eleventh century. The last span preserves interesting Romanesque capitals (carved decorations set including foliage). Rearrangements were made in the fifteenth century hence the presence of Gothic and restorations were made in the nineteenth, vaults have been replaced by a structure. Note also that the facade is topped by a belfry beautifully made. Originally, it housed two bells, but one of them was cast: the second rest that was blessed in 1779 and named Françoise Rosalie. The church is listed on the Inventory since 1928.
