Listed as a Historic Monument since the 1980s, the Saint-Maurice church of Vollore-Ville dates from the end of the 11th century for its current version. In Romanesque style, it consists of a single nave with three bays, a transept crossing and a choir with radiating chapels.
Transformed many times over the centuries, the Saint-Maurice church of Vollore-Ville saw its first bay reinforced with a high stone bell tower topped with a structural spire in the 19th century. At the same time, a false transept was added, topped with a Romanesque dome on squinches.
The whole constitutes a hall church with a single two-sided roof without a frame. It is completed by a neo-classical western bell tower. Inside, visitors can admire sculpted and colorful modillions, as well as beautiful statues.
