New commune of Ain, Villieu-Loyes-Mollon was born from the merger of three old villages with a common past. It is located about thirty kilometers from Lyon, not far from Chazey-sur-Ain, Pérouges and Sainte-Julie.
Of ancient origin, the villages which today form the municipality of Villieu-Loyes-Mollon were once known for their priory or their agricultural activities. Partly ravaged by the troops of Louis XI in the middle of the 17th century, the fortified village of Loyes still has an architectural heritage of interest.
Ideally located for exploring the region's tourist wonders, the municipality of Villieu-Loyes-Mollon also has everything you need in terms of accommodation and shopping facilities for a pleasant stay in the heart of Ain.
