Commune of Eure-et-Loire, about twenty kilometers from Chartres and its cathedral, Villiers-le-Morhier takes place in the heart of the Royal Valley of the Eure, not far from Maintenon and Nogent-le-Roi.
The one that takes its name from the former lords of Villiers, the Moriers, developed mainly in the 13th century. Villiers-le-Morhier notably experienced significant growth between the end of the 19th century and the middle of the 20th century, thanks to the presence of a railway line linking Auneau-Ville to Dreux, via the neighboring town of Maintenon.
Today, the city of Villiers-le-Morhier continues to seduce visitors with its important architectural heritage testifying to a rich history.
