- A little history:
- Villers, takes its name from a domain "villa" or "city" (name given to a village in Burgundy). Faye has foyard, commonly called beech.
- In a dominant position on an old and ancient trading route, Villers-la-Faye quickly with a castle in the 15th century, and a church in the 19th century alone. The Shrine of the site has long been the chapel of Mount St. Victor.
- The first lords of Villers and powerful friends were the lords of Vergy or the Dukes of Burgundy. Those not wanting to go hunting in the dense forests of the area ... or to assess the wines produced here for centuries.
