Located in the department of Herault, Villeneuve-lès-Béziers is right next to the town of Beziers, major tourist attraction in the region.
Ideally located between countryside and sea, the city of Villeneuve-lès-Béziers is halfway Montpellier and Perpignan, near the Spanish border and the Regional Natural Park of Haut Languedoc. Ideally placed to enjoy all the charms of this region of southern France, as the Mediterranean coastline or the Canal du Midi, the site World Heritage of Humanity.
Despite significant economic development over the last years, the city, full of charm, has retained its authenticity and its traditional and cultural values.
Villeneuve-lès-Béziers has an important architectural heritage and rich in historical value.
The Church of St. Stephen was built in the tenth century. Over the centuries, especially during the wars of religion, it has experienced widespread looting and other fires. It now has a nave dating from the seventeenth century and a bell inscribed the Historical Monuments directory.
Last vestige of the former castle of the lords of Villeneuve-lès-Béziers, Castle tower survived the fire ordered by Louis XIII. Despite reconstruction during the religious wars, the castle was finally destroyed in the early twentieth century.
Remains of an ancient aqueduct, the Arcades are revealed today in the eyes of visitors. In the city center, one can also enjoy the remains of the priory Thounieux which are in the form of old porches.

- La Cantarela de Béziers presents a concert in tribute to two great French musicians who died 100 years ago : Théodore Dubois and Gabriel Fauré. - The program features Les Sept Dernières Paroles du Christ by Théodore Dubois, created in 1867 and commissioned by the parish priest of Saint Clotilde in Paris for Good Friday. They are a series of short phrases attributed to Jesus by the New Testament Christian tradition, as he lay crucified.

With dog sports initiations all day long, a tombola with lots of prizes to be won, and a pop rock concert ! Bring your pooch for a day of sharing and discovery ! What's more, everything's planned for your little companions : two dog parks will be available so they can let off steam and enjoy the day to the full.
