Agricultural commune of Essonne, in Île-de-France, Villabé takes place in Hurepoix, just a few kilometers from Evry. It is located on the last bend of the Essonne, not far from Corbeil-Essonnes, Mennecy and Grigny.
Long devoted to cereal cultivation, the municipality of Villabé has experienced significant industrial growth thanks to the development of its flour mills and its paper industry. From this glorious past, the city has preserved many vestiges, starting with its old workers' towns.
