Things to see and do

Built in the 12th century, the Saint-Marcel church is an elegant Romanesque building. Completely renovated in the 15th century following the damage linked to the Hundred Years War, it unveils in its interior six magnificent carved wooden stalls from the 16th century, 17th century woodwork, an 18th century altarpiece and an 18th century pulpit.

While strolling in the town, you will also be able to see old wash-houses, the fountain of the village or the very beautiful farm of Villoison. The industrial heritage of Villabé can also be discovered through the old mills and lime kilns or the buildings of the old paper mill.

But it is also for its natural heritage that Villabé is appreciated by passing visitors. It has in fact nearly seventy hectares of forest and around thirty parks and gardens. Hikers can also take the 11 C long-distance hiking trail before going to discover the old inundated peat bogs in the Clos de Montauger.
