City of Var, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Vidauban takes place sixty kilometers of Toulon, on the banks of the Argens. It is located near Lorgues, Draguignan Le Thoronet.

Inhabited since the arrival of Homo erectus, the territory also known an important development in the Gallo-Roman era and the Middle Ages. Things to see and do

As you stroll through the town and its surroundings, you will be able to discover many sites listed or classified as Historic Monuments, such as the Châteaux d'Astros estate. The latter reveals to visitors an old castle with its outbuildings, a Templar commandery, a dovecote or an old chapel. A new castle has also taken up residence there, not far from a very beautiful avenue of plane trees. The park is accessible to the public and allows you to appreciate an exceptional flora on sunny days.

Vidauban also has a rich religious heritage with in particular the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church and its 19th century bell and the Saint-Lambert, Sainte-Anne, Sainte-Brigitte and Saint-Pons chapels.

At bends in the streets, you can admire the town's washhouses and fountains such as the Lion fountain or that of Place Clémenceau, before discovering the seven pitch ovens listed in the town. Be sure to visit the ruins of the Aille to discover its incredible waterfalls.

Vidauban has leisure facilities with a nautical base, canoeing, tree climbing, and the "Drop-in Dracénie Water Jump" water park, a family leisure area with 18 water jump tracks and 80 inflatable modules.

Events and festivities

Of plays, concerts and shows are offered throughout the year in the municipality of Vidauban.

Several events are organized on the weekend of Easter. The town also hosts a procession to the St. Bridget chapel on Easter Monday.

Every first Sunday of May has organized a procession to the chapel Saint-Pons.

Music for the feast, many festive concerts are organized.

In July, for the National Day, the town offers such a ball and fireworks.

In late July, up to the events of St. Brigid.

The local festival is held every second weekend in September.

Entertainment is available on the weekend before Christmas.
