Fains-la-Folie:
- Fains-la-Folie, a village in the heart of Beauce, south of Canton Voves, means end of Country Chartrain.
- The ancient town of Fains-la-Folie consists of Fains (Faing in Dunois from 1719 to 1750) and La Folie Herbault, ancient towns gathered by order of King Louis Philippe of France, dated April 28, 1834.
- She understands :
- 4 hamlets: La Folie Herbault (Folia Herbaldi); Auffains belonging half to Fains-la-Folie and Baignolet; Tortois; Amoinville.
- 3 place called: Brainville; Martainville; The Chardonnière.
- She owns :
- A multipurpose room built since 1982.
- A town hall, renovated in 1990.
- A playground.
- In 1980 the decrease in enrollment led to the closure of the local school. The children are grouped with schools Voves. Today, 25 students attend the schools of the municipal grouping of Voves Educational Grouping sector.
- The municipality has artisans, farms, a grain storage silo about 1 million quintals, and a nightclub.
- In the last quarter of the nineteenth century was built the way of single track railway: Chartres Orleans. Currently it is reserved for the traffic of goods and services the grain silo. Two Roman roads traverse: Roman road from Le Mans-Sens and Chartres Orleans.
