Calvados village located not far from Benerville-sur-Mer, Lisieux, Touques or Deauville, Vauville is a rural commune in the Trouville-sur-Mer catchment area.
Of ancient origin, the Norman commune was known in the 12th century under the name of Walvilla. Revolving around agriculture, it was the seat of the command post of the 711th German infantry division during the Second World War.
Attractive due to its geographical location, the town of Vauville presents an important architectural heritage in the style typical of this part of Normandy.
