New municipality of Bas-Rhin, in the Greater East region, Val-de-Moder was created on January 1, 2016 during the merger of Plaffenhoffen, Walck, and Uberach. It takes place about thirty kilometers from Strasbourg, around Niederbronn.
Val-de-Moder takes place on a territory whose human occupation is particularly old. In particular, traces of ancient remains have been discovered in the three communes that form it. An important shopping center during the Renaissance, Plaffenhoffen was well known in the region and its surroundings at the time.
Today, Val-de-Moder attracts for its calm and its ideal location to discover the charms of Alsace. The town also has an interesting heritage tracing the history of the territory over the centuries.
