Things to see and do

First a simple manor that allowed the Dukes of Brittany to rest between two hunting parties during its construction in 1350, the castle of Trédion was enlarged and reworked over the centuries. It remains the jewel of Trédion. François I and Catherine de Medici stayed there in the 16th century, and the building was regularly redesigned, embellished and enlarged until the 19th century. The castle was bought in 1978 and restored. Apartments have been built upstairs for holidaymakers, and the ground floor houses a restaurant and function rooms. The granite and Renaissance building is surrounded by a restored 12-hectare park with ponds, themed gardens and sculptures that can be visited from April to November. In terms of built heritage, always to see in Trédion, the Saint-Martin church, neo-gothic style, dating from the second half of the nineteenth century and whose portal is adorned with a statue of St. Martin, at above the bay.

Older, the chapel of Saint Nicolas d'Aguénéac was built in 1650 and was once the seat of the parish. His priest was murdered in 1795 and is buried in the nearby cemetery. The chapel has an octagonal wooden belfry and houses several statues, including a figurative Saint Fiacre and a Madonna and Child.

Several nicely decorated fountains also mark out the communal territory.

The other part of the historical heritage of the locality returns the visitors several millennia before our era: it is about number of menhirs and dolmens whose most astonishing are nicknamed "Baboon and Babouine" because of their form. To see also, the dolmen of the Lodge with the Wolf, and covered alleys (alignments with funerary vocation more often) of Coëtby and the Close-of-Park.

In terms of the environment, the moors and woods of the town (Cadoudal, Penclen, Madame, Lanvaux...) and several ponds and ponds, including the pond will deer will delight hikers in search of quiet and shady routes in summer.

Several circuits are traced on the same commune and include its remarkable sites, historical or natural. Documentation and information on +33 (0) 2 97 67 11 33. Larger routes can lead to Elven or closer to the coast. Contact the 0 825 13 56 10.

Whether in a pond or in a river, fishermen are also welcome: call +33 2 97 44 54 55 to find out about the developed sites and the regulatory points to respect.

In terms of recreation, again, games for children are available in summer near the pond and deer campsite.

As for the media library of the village, it has a digital space and programs readings for young audiences. Information on +33 2 97 67 18 52.
