The Lasbordes hotel, also referred Maynier hotel (named after its first owner) hotel or the Old Grape (because of the proximity formerly a tavern whose sign featured a bunch of grapes) is located in the historic heart of Toulouse.
It was built from 1518 to 1527 for Bérenguier Maynier law professor and former sheriff (municipal magistrate).
This particular hotel has a style heavily influenced by the Italian Renaissance but also one that is imposed in the Loire Valley it is true due to artists from Italy. A second phase of work at the end of the sixteenth century did not change the building structure or its ornamentation, its specificity is to have a rich decoration in stone made sculptures and reliefs that line its façade on court, remainder of the material consisting of bricks.
Note the two towers with outer stairs.
The listed building historic monument since the late nineteenth century was the subject of careful restoration campaigns and is always private. A firm of lawyers and doctors are housed there.
