Castle of the Reynerie

Reynerie The castle is part of a field that originally included an orangery and a park.

It is situated on land that belonged in the seventeenth century to the Regnier family, who gave his name to the whole. Then it is a councilor of parliament, Pierre Reversac Celes Marsac making the acquisition and exchange in 1781 with William Dubarry (1732-1811) against the dismembered lands of the former Duchy Roquelaure.

Dubarry is then build a true stately brick in classic style. The main building houses a large reception room and extremities, rooms on one side, a dining room and living room on the other.

Operating rooms are also furnished loft, the entire building is decorated inside with stucco decorations.

This is the final of insanity is to say, a home dedicated to receptions and small stays.

With annexes (shared), the building is surrounded by a large park with a French garden.

In the 1980s, the park is cut by 55 hectares is set when the Mirail neighborhood and the area, also protected as historical monuments, was bought by the city.

The castle itself is currently undergoing restoration work and is not accessible. However, the park is open to the public which can admire French gardens, water features and exotic trees and shrubs as Virginia tulip trees, pine or ginkgo Corsica or local species such as lime, hornbeam, ash, maple, oak trees. The walkways are lined with large box hedges. Factories (garden decor items made of stone imitating small monuments) have been restored.
