Built in 1875 on a rocky outcrop in the eastern end of Mount Faron, Fort Faron Cross is one of the many highlights for the defense of the city of Toulon. Today used as a transmitter station, the site is accessible to the public only during Heritage Days.
In addition to a tower similar to the Beaumont Tower, also located in the hills above the city, the fort Cross Faron features rooms gun dug into the rock. A rack connects to the fort Faron installed below.
