Charming municipality of the Landes, in the region New-Aquitaine, Tosse takes place at ninety kilometers from Mont-de-Marsan, in the heart of the Landes Forest. Crossing by the famous "Lakes Route", it is located not far from Dax and Bayonne.
Old, the municipality of Tosse does not have any real housing traces before the ninth century, which the region is experiencing significant clearing in order to be cultivated. Capital of the Vicomty of Maremne in the Middle Ages, it was also the headquarters of the court of jurisdiction until the nineteenth century. Originally turned towards the glassware, the economy of this city in southwestern France has little industrialized.
Today, the municipality continues to attract visitors through the charm of its architectural heritage and its preserved landscapes.
