Things to see and do

As you walk through the Vieux-Bourg, you can admire the beauty of the old houses, but especially the old Saint-Golven church, listed as a Historic Monument. Built in the 12th century and transformed in the 17th century, it was originally a simple chapel. Visitors can admire a very interesting 16th century Flamboyant Gothic portal.

A little further on, let yourself be seduced by the new Saint-Golven church. Built in the second half of the 19th century, it was completed with the addition of a bell tower in 1889. It is possible to discover 18th century stalls from Sainte-Anne d'Auray or a monstrance-reliquary 16th century silver pedicle.

Taupont has an important religious heritage which is completed with the Saint-Étienne de Crémenan chapel, the Sainte-Anne de Lézillac chapel, the Saint-Mathurin and Saint-Gildas de Quelneuc chapel and the Henlée oratory. Built in the 1960s, this monument with statues of Saint Nicodemus and Our Lady of Providence replaces an abandoned chapel that no longer exists.

While strolling through the Breton town, don't forget to stop in front of the 17th century Saint-Golven fountain or the Château de Lambilly.

If you want to discover the natural heritage of Taupont, like the lake, several hiking or mountain biking trails are available at different levels.
