Castle Margaut

Monument in Talence

Located at Talence, in Gironde, Château Margaut was built at the end of the 18th century by the architect Etienne Laclotte, probably for wealthy Bordeaux merchants.

Mainly neoclassical in style, the building presents an architecture typical of this period, with in particular a facade with a rounded front. The latter is decorated with mascarons, one of which represents the head of a ram.
