Lorraine shoe capital of the early twentieth century, Soucht, picturesque village nestled in the heart of beautiful forests, still perpetuates its tradition. After being turned away from the glass industry, this small forest village has specialized in the manufacture of the shoe in the early eighteenth century. The village still had over 40 shoemakers in the middle of the last century.
