Listed as a Historical Monument, the former convent of the Visitation of Sisteron takes place in the heart of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The building was built in the early 1630s and has since been restored.
Much of the cloister was destroyed, but there are still some vestiges, while the conventual buildings now house a retirement home. The chapel, meanwhile, now houses a museum. It is possible to admire reconstructed murals.
An explanatory panel, located in front of the chapel, offers a history of the architectural ensemble.
