Town Hautes-Pyrénées, in Occitan region Séméac takes place on the outskirts of Tarbes, in the heart of the Pyrenean foothills, in Bigorre. It is located near Salles-Adour, Orleix and Allier, on the banks of the Adour and Alaric channel.
Inhabited since the Paleolithic, as evidenced by the remains found there, the territory of Séméac develops in the Middle Ages, including the creation of a lordship at the end of the Carolingian dynasty. Originally mainly oriented livestock and agriculture due to good irrigation of land, this town in the southwest of France has gradually turned towards industry and trade.
