Savigny-lès-Beaune Castle stands in an idyllic setting in Côte-d'Or. This ancient fortress is located in a vineyard, itself part of the famous Côte de Beaune wine region. Made up of the main castle from the 14th century and the small castle from the 17th century, the estate is open for cultural tours and wine tastings.
The main castle is home to several museums with extraordinary collections. The renowned motorcycle museum has no fewer than 250 models from 1903 to 1960. The racing car museum has about 30 Abarths on display. But the most impressive collection is to be found in the castle park: about a hundred fighter planes and helicopters. Visitors of all ages are sure to enjoy the firefighters' museum and the high-clearance tractor museum!
The castle's 27-hectare vineyard produces nine premier cru wines, which are kept in superb 14th and 17th-century cellars. Head to the small castle's cellar for a tasting that will delight Burgundy wine-lovers!
