Common new Jura region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Valzin en Petite Montagne takes place about thirty kilometers from Lons-le-Saunier, close to Dramelay, Chambéria or Sarrogna. She was born on 1 January 2017 from the merger of the cities of Chatonnay, Fétigny, Légna and Savigna in the basin Valouse.
Populated for centuries, as evidenced by the tuff tombs dating back to the great Burgundian invasions of the fourth century found there, the territory of Valzin en Petite Montagne forged its image over the centuries, gradually taking the appearance we see today. Savigna was particularly illustrated during the Second World War with the presence of resistance groups.
Its proximity to some of the most beautiful cities of the region, its architectural heritage and unspoilt nature make Valzin en Petite Montagne a pleasant holiday resort on the sector.
