At 5 minutes by car or in 1h30 walk from the city center, the castle of Haut-Barr, nicknamed "the Eye of Alsace", is built on three rocks to 470 meters.

Medieval castle ruins of the twelfth century, it occupies a strategic position between the Lorraine plateau and the plain of Alsace.

The present castle was built in 1583 by Jean de Manderscheid.

The gateway the Devil's Bridge, accessible by staircase connects two rocks.

Famous for his legend, his crossing is particularly impressive.
