Town news of Dordogne, in region Aquitaine New, Boulazac Isle Manoire takes place in Périgord central, near Périgueux and close to Marsac-sur-l'Isle, Sanilhac and Cornille. She was born on 1 January 2016 from the merger of Boulazac Atur and Saint-Laurent-sur-Manoire and was expanded in 2017 with the arrival of Sainte-Marie-de-Chignac.
Inhabited since Neolithic times, the territory of Boulazac Isle Manoire develops first in the Gauls, but mainly in the Middle Ages. Strongly affected by the wars against the English, however, it gradually takes its rise, then taking the shape it has today.
Ideally situated to admire one of the most beautiful parts of the southwest of France, the new town also attracts visitors with its rich architectural heritage and charm of its landscapes.
Built between the twelfth and thirteenth century church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Atur was fortified origin. Mainly Romanesque style, today unveiled a tower of the fourteenth century, a Gothic nave and beautiful murals from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Be seduced by the charm of the Church of St. John the Baptist Gothic Revival before discovering the Saint Francis of Assisi Chapel of the late 1990s Set on the banks of the Isle, the tavern Barnabas now has the label Heritage of the twentieth century. Art Deco style, it still has today a mini-golf with miniature monuments of Dordogne.
Saint-Laurent-sur-Manoire also has an exceptional heritage, starting with the church of St. Lawrence. Listed historic monument, the church building in particular reveals a Romanesque choir of the twelfth century and a Gothic nave sixteenth. The eighteenth century mansion houses meanwhile a Roland Dumas museum that welcomes all gifts from foreign heads of state to the former minister.
If you're in Sainte-Marie-de-Chignac, do not forget to admire the castle of the eighteenth century Rolandie or chartreuse Taboury.
Several nearby hiking trails also possible to appreciate the local fauna and flora.
Organized in Lamoura park, all in Green is a family event dedicated to sport to discover different activities for all ages.
In August, up to the summer festival with free entertainment, the fireworks and inflatables for children.
A Christmas market is proposed in December.

The march towards power and democracy takes place, and under the guise of their husbands, they vote in the Assembly. - The Franco-Palestinian artistic team dresses the play in a more contemporary disguise, placing the subject in the conservative political context experienced by Palestinian women today.
