The Grande Prairie leisure center is located in the town of Saint-Yrieix-sur-Charente, north of Angoulême which it borders.
Vast 70 hectares, it includes a body of water which borders the course of the Charente. A beach is equipped where swimming is authorized and supervised in summer.
In a green setting, there are also playgrounds, a track dedicated to jogging and picnic areas, in the sun or in the shade, available to the public.
The site is also the starting point of the Coulée Verte, a 20 km path along the Charente and which allows you to observe its rich landscape and ecology.

A branch of the tourist office is open in season and a few hundred meters away, an aquatic center with swimming pools and play equipment is accessible.
