Saint-Witz

Saint-Witz keeps a pretty rustic pilgrimage chapel, Our Lady of Montmélian, destroyed during the Revolution but some items were saved by a parishioner who laid his barn to replace the place of worship disappeared.

The fortified square tower of Montmelian, a vestige of the manor lords of Vernon, dating from the thirteenth century, was transformed into a stone quarry over time, but many traces remain.
