Saint-Samson-sur-Rance is a small town in Brittany located in the Cotes d'Armor, near the town of Dinan. As the name suggests, the town is in the Rance Valley, on the west bank of the river.
An imposing megalithic monument of 8 meters high, the menhir of Tremblais, reflects the settlement of the region since ancient times, but it is only since 1962 that the town was named by its present name.
The village is built around two entities, the "Borough", economic, and "Heave" overlooking the river and includes the tourist activities of the town.
Gastronomic specialties include the famous "lace Pancakes" from Dinan nearby. Cider du Val de Rance is also very famous.
