Things to see and do

A discovery of the local heritage can begin with the parish church dedicated naturally to Saint Privat. Since the 1990s, the building, which has been redesigned several times, has stained-glass windows in a contemporary style but soberly made by the master glassmaker Jean Maurel. In particular, there are representations of Our Lady of Lourdes, Saint Joseph and Saint Thérèse.

In the north of the territory, it is the pretty chapel of Artiges which has been restored and to the west, it is the noble silhouette of the castle of Cautine and its park that we can distinguish. Built in the 17th century, the building which includes lodgings was for a time the subject of a now abandoned eco-village project. The castle has regained its calm...

To the west of the village, again, the Chanaux lake, near which a campsite is located, delights fishermen (who can also enjoy the rivers: inquire about the regulations at +33 5 55 26 11 55). It is also possible to swim in season (information on +33 5 55 28 28 77).

The site is also the starting point for many hiking trails (hiking or mountain biking) which are dotted with wooded areas and bucolic pastures. Note the picturesque crosses that line the paths…

Note that larger circuits allow you to reach and then follow the Dordogne valley or take a "tour" of Xaintrie… Maps and information on +33 5 55 28 28 77 or +33 5 65 33 22 00

We should also mention the site of the Moulin de Malesse, in the south of the municipality, which houses accommodation and an equestrian center: in a perfectly exotic environment, something to recharge your batteries and consider beautiful horse rides! Information on +33 6 83 41 48 17.
