Things to see and do

Listed building, the St. George church originally dates from the twelfth century but underwent many changes in the sixteenth. Mainly Romanesque Auvergne, it is entirely in stone in large assembly unit, including an interesting polychrome that mixes black, pink, purple, gray or white.

Also classified as an historic monument, the castle Rochelambert dates for its eleventh century. Impressive, it was completely cut in a basalt cliff with rock apparent in several of its parts. Open to the public, the building reveals, among other things, barbicans thirteenth century or fourteenth battlements. Thematic tours are offered regularly.

Walking through the small town of Auvergne, be sure not to appreciate the Saint Joseph's listed historical monuments or home Chabron of Soleilhac.

Saint-Paulien also has space of Gallo-Roman exhibition, the Michelangelo Pomarat museum, which proposes to admire many remains found on site during archaeological digs.

To relax, the town offers a wellness area to try the famous green clay Velay known for its cosmetic properties and relaxing qualities.

In the summer, Saint-Paulien also offers aquarécréatif fleet of nearly 800 m² including a slide turns or a waterfall.
