The town of Saint-Paul-lès-Durance, also known as Saint-Paul-lez-Durance by location, is located in the department of Bouches-du-Rhône, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. This village of about 1000 inhabitants takes place in the city of Aix-Marseille-Provence, near Aix-en-Provence.
Ancient castle mound, the site shows residents from the tenth century, but not until the late eleventh century to see the presence of a fortified village. If the site is best known for hosting on its soil the nuclear research center Cadarache, and thus be at the forefront of nuclear technology, it also has a certain charm that attracts visitors. A modest architectural heritage is the beauty of this village in the south of France.
Built on a rock promontory, the village of Saint-Paul-lès-Durance also offers a beautiful view of the Durance valley.
