Saint-Paul

Walking through the historic center of Saint-Paul or the surrounding hamlets, you will discover ancient monuments, like the fortified house of Choisel. Built in the 13th century, it was largely remodeled in the 15th and 18th centuries. It was notably the seat of a seigneury in the Middle Ages, then a viscount from the fourteenth century. A little further, in the hamlet of Rubods, you will admire the vestiges of another strong house, that of Rubod-Centagnieu, also built in the thirteenth century.

In the heart of the surrounding woods stands the castle of Lutrin, now in ruins. Built in the thirteenth century, it was seat of seigneury in the Middle Ages.

Former manor house of the sixteenth century, the manor of Malet is today converted into farming. It takes place not far from the church of Saint-Paul, another building to discover the time of a walk in the village. You will also appreciate the old ovens that dot the course.

Several marked hiking trails are accessible in and around the town, in particular to discover the landscapes of the Dent du Chat.

Every year at the end of January, for a weekend, the village has tradition to rekindle the old ovens of the village.

In November, Bibliothèque en Fête is a cultural event featuring different animations for all audiences, around the theme of books.
