Located in the municipality of Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, in Charente-Maritime, Lighthouse Earth Negro is now the subject of a registration on Historical Monuments. The site reveals a particular cylindrical tower over twenty-six meters high built in the eighteenth century and a beacon of the first half of the nineteenth.
Electrified in the late 1930s, the lighthouse was heavily damaged during the fighting in World War II but was rehabilitated by the end of the war, in 1947. Not accessible to the public, however, it can be admired from the 'outside.
