On the ground floor, the religious art room, bathed in soft light, offers a wide panorama of the wealth of arts in Northern Europe from the tenth to the sixteenth century. In the central part of the mansion, paintings, sculptures and furniture reflect the tastes of collectors and the art of living from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century. True masterpieces of European painting await you there: "The argument of philosophers" of Ribera, one of the greatest painters of the seventeenth century or the series of four paintings done by Boilly, a virtuoso portraitist.
By taking the staircase to access the first floor, you can admire the large formats and paintings of the nineteenth century, made by great masters such as Belly, Chifflart or De Neuville, all from Saint-Omer. This floor also offers a selection of seven hundred and fifty pieces of ceramics of the seventeenth to the eighteenth century, that will make you travel between East and West!
