Lendou-en-Quercy

The main tourist attraction of Saint-Cyprien remains his castle of Marcillac, listed in the Historical Monuments for its facades, its roofs and its internal staircase. Built in the 12th and 13th centuries, it has been modified many times but retains some original features. Rebuilt in a less warlike style in the sixteenth century, it is burned and looted following the French Revolution in 1790. Today we can admire square towers, walls pierced by archers, or the base of a brick dungeon. In the eastern part, the staircase dates from the seventeenth century and reveals a ramp with geometric decorations based on cherubs, garlands of fruit, or palms and volutes. Do not miss the staircase to the courtyard which serves the main rooms.

In early July, the votive festival of the village is the theater of entertainment with a garage sale, games for children or concerts.

A Christmas market takes place each year in December.
