The Church of St. Georges de la Tour and Saint-Jeoire square: when in 1739 the decision was made to demolish the tower of the old parish church, which threatened to collapse on the nave, the construction of the new bell tower (1740 -41) was undertaken outside the church, in a "niche" just enough between the sacristy and chapel Notre-Dame. This church, which dated from the year one thousand, had undergone many expansions, not always coherent, but it was too small. It was decided in 1848 to demolish it and build a new one, against the hill of "On Nâves", to release a new public square in the town center. As we wanted to retain the existing tower (still in excellent condition), we should build the new church separated from the steeple, which was not consistent with either the neo-classical nor the neo-Gothic power. A novel solution was proposed. It was studied by architects and Ruphy Gignoux, in charge of this project. A variant of the Gothic, neo-Gothic Lombard, developed mainly in Piedmont and Milan, requires precisely the independent tower of the church. This achievement (1855-1858) made the church Saint-Jeoire the only department to have preserved and developed all the characteristics, both outside and inside, this neo-Gothic Lombard. The recent restoration (1988-1989) has carefully respected and complemented these characteristics.
The castle of Beauregard Beauregard castle was the residence since the 13th century the Lords, became the Earls of Fletcher. You can admire this jewel, illuminated at night. Cross-country skiing: Nordic side, Les Brasses has one of the most beautiful cross-country ski resorts in Haute-Savoie, the Plaine-Joux plateau. Summer recreation:

Hiking: discovering fauna, flora, alpine pastures or undergrowth, freely or with a guide, you will discover wonderful sites, exceptional 360 ° views. At the Massif des Brasses, dozens of kilometers of trails are available to you. From small to great hiking, you will certainly find your happiness. Through the pastures, walk along the path leading to Pointe des Brasses, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc. Chablais and Geneva are also dominated from the summit. The visual reward is well worth the detour. Discover the Mont Vouan (978 m), where picturesque hiking trails lead you to the "Meulières": site of extraction of the famous millstones and other curiosities such as "Gouille aux Morts" or the " Laughing source. Climbing :

La Tour Rock: Altitude: 600 m - Orientation: South and West - Approach: 0 mn - Interest: ** / - Height: 15 to 23 m. Warning, climbing prohibited from May 1st to June 15th so as not to hinder the nesting of peregrine falcons. The site is not really beautiful (just next to an old quarry and a group of buildings), but the climbing is pleasant, technical and fingers on a very adherent rock with many flints embedded in the limestone. The right sector is very good for children but it is not possible to climb on the left sector, access is already dangerous enough for adults. Some lanes are "hacked". This cliff was equipped for a championship of France young... which finally took place in the room following bad weather conditions. This site is very exposed to the wind of bise, which becomes very unpleasant when it is cold and that it blows, even weakly. The rock dries very quickly. The sector on the right is in the sun most of the day, while in the left sector it arrives at 13:15 (summer time). Equipment: Very good in 10 mm studs and sealed pins.
Rocher de Pouilly: Altitude: 750 m - Orientation: south and east - Approach: 3 mn - Interest: ** / - Height: 13 to 60 m. It is one of the oldest cliffs of Haute-Savoie. There are therefore patinated paths, but essentially on the south face, where you climb in fairly straight and little carved slabs, while the face is a little steeper, usually offers an athletic climbing on a beautiful rock with ruler and scales... sometimes covered with grass. "Eternel présent", on the south face, was the first non-vertical 8a in France, opened by Marc Le Ménestrel: stiff slippers and sharpened fingers. Also note an area equipped for climbing children. The south face dries very quickly. The face is preserved longer resurgences. In this face, the right sector is less comfortable and forbidden to children: access is facilitated by two cables, where it is better, or even imperatively, "cow", with two less delicate passages undeveloped. Equipment: sealed pins. On the east side, many tracks have 13 belay points (fold the relay): take enough quickdraws.
Rocher Le Cruz: Altitude: 650 m - Orientation: South-West - Approach: 5 mn - Interest: *** / - Height: 13 to 32 m. Beautiful climbing with predominance of flat areas. In the spring, the first climbers will find some roads very dusty. Of the three sectors, it is the great wall the most beautiful with its vertical tracks on 30 meters. After heavy rains, the great wall keeps resurgences very long. In this sector, the atmosphere is cooler and shaded. Other sectors dry faster, it is much warmer. Equipment: Sealed pins and 12 mm stud. 16 quickdraws for spanking studs.
Superpouilly Rock: Altitude: 750 m - Orientation: Southeast - Approach: 10 mn - Interest: ** / - Height: 18 to 70 m. Although many routes are several lengths, it is possible to make grinders: we can advantageously pull two lengths in one in some routes with a rope of 70 m. The slope is generally vertical, with some slabs and slight overhang. Climbing technique with catches cut in some ways. Some are quite dirty: it is essentially the lengths that are not feasible in roping from the bottom (or the right cable). Sunny until early afternoon. Resurgences after heavy rains but the cliff dries fairly quickly. Equipment: Sealed pins and some 10 mm studs.
White Rock: Altitude: 1200 m - Orientation: west - Approach: 2mn - Interest: ** / - Height: 15 to 25 m. It is an ideal area for beginners, slab with cracks, scales and catch sometimes smaller. Three lanes, the most difficult, located in a more compact area, are cut. Sunny in the afternoon but quite shady by trees at the foot. Equipment: Sealed pins, studs from 10 to 12 mm.
Bellosset Rock: Altitude: 900 m - Orientation: Northeast - Approach: 1 mn - Interest: ** / - Height: 10 to 30 m. A large wall near the vertical, with slab and cant more or less pronounced. The rock is slightly carved and moderately adherent, with many flat areas and strips. The roads are often dusty, especially after the winter. Technical climbing that requires good investments. The lack of sunshine (until around noon in summer for the most exposed routes) makes it a climbing cliff in hot weather, although we must avoid the heat wave because the catch is not very frank. Many resurgences as long as the ground remains wet. Equipment: fairly close, essentially in sealed pins, 18 quickdraws with the relay to the maximum.
Stone Rock eagle: Altitude: 950 m - Orientation: South-East to South-West - Approach: 4 min - Interest: * / - Height: 10 to 30 m. Small site in the forest, well exposed to the sun as long as there are no leaves to trees. The tracks are steep slabs, except the Petite Pierre where the tracks are vertical. The rock is little carved, the routes seek if possible lines of weaknesses: cracks and scales, with compact areas in the most difficult routes (climbing fingers and / or feet). After good rains, this site is subject to resurgences but dry quickly enough. Some lanes have a mossy start. Those of Petite Pierre are a little dusty. Equipment: Sealed pins and studs from 10 to 12 mm.
