Saint-Gérons is part of the Community of Communes between 2 Lakes, which has 12 municipalities. The village borders the towns of Glénat Laroquebrou, Siran and Saint-Étienne-Cantalès. The community also belongs to the territory of the Pays d'Aurillac.

Things to see and do

Saint-Gérons has a rich cultural heritage that deserves our attention.

The church Saint-Gérons is a perfect example. This building historical monument since 1914 is of Romanesque architecture. It consists of a bell tower decorated with four bells topped with a slate roof. The church and its adjoining chapels are covered with curved tiles.

It also distinguishes the Town City Hall, listed in the inventory of historical monuments. It is a solid building built in the late nineteenth century with a symmetrical facade double entry (boys and girls). Its architecture is inspired by the manor houses, with regular façade and a leaky roof dormers with two half-ridges. The town hall is located in a wooded enclosure.

Castle Margeride is also worth visiting. The main body of the castle is Louis XV, while one of the towers on the day side of the nineteenth century. He has a regular façade and a hipped roof dormers to the nasturtium. The castle also has large coated chimneys adorning the rump.

While strolling through the town, you can also admire the small municipal property consisting of bread ovens, fountains and a mill.

Saint-Gérons is also a place for relaxation and sports activities. For family activities, two lidos in Espinet and Renac offer good moments of conviviality.
