Things to see and do

Built in the 13th century, the Saint-Germain church stands on a former Gallo-Roman site. Of the original Romanesque church, there remains today only part of the wall of the nave. The building has the distinction of presenting many old sundials, eight in total!

Built in the first half of the 14th century, the castle of Grand Puch unveils two octagonal towers surrounding the corners of the main house. On the high parts, it is possible to admire openwork balustrades of quadrilobes on machicolations. It is now classified as an historic monument. Visit the winery, tasting workshop and hiking are offered at the castle of Grand Puch by appointment.

You can appreciate the remains of the commandery of Arveyres, building built in the mid-twelfth century by the Knights Templar. It was completely dismembered during the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century. There are only original buildings of the south wing dating from the seventeenth century, including a vaulted barrel cellar and the fortified house. A medieval garden has recently been recreated on the site, designed in the shape of a Maltese cross.

During your walks, do not miss to discover the castle of the Grand Puch of the fourteenth century, the Petit Puch of the fifteenth century, the Goudichaud castle of the eighteenth century, or the castle of Jonqueyres, former stronghold of the eleventh century.

Events and festivities

The local festival is held every year on the second weekend of September.
