These are Landes heather bala called " heather " in Poitou. This type of training is rare in Limousin. This Natura 2000 site has several species of great botanical interest ( gentian pneumonanthe, drosera intermediary, heather, juniper, heather... ). Species of butterflies are remarkable also present ( the Alcon Blue, mirror, skipper bromine... ).
