Municipality of the Rhone region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Saint-Georges-de-Reneins takes place about forty kilometers from Lyon, in the heart of the urban unit of Belleville. It is at the limit of the department of Ain, near Villefranche-sur-Saône or Mâcon.
Inhabited since the Bronze Age, as evidenced by the remains found there, the territory of Saint-Georges-de-Reneins develops over the centuries, gradually taking the face it has today. The arrival of the railway with its Paris-Lyon in the nineteenth century brought a revival in the city which then sees a new economic development.
This city in south-eastern France still continues to attract visitors with its ideal location to browse this charming region and its incredible heritage.
