- Historical presentation Town:
- Saint-Fulgent-des-Ormes is an ancient small town of Orne located on the borders of Perche and Saosnois. Frogent, bishop of Sees in 752, is the origin of the name of the parish. We added him in 1830, the name of the River des Ormes including alluvial valley, facing the Saosnois, the common boundary to the west. Fertile land was favorable to Chanvrière culture. Hemp ovens accompanying some farm testify to this agricultural activity which lasted until about 1960.
- East, the territory abuts against the slope of the hills of the Perche. The highlight of the town is there: 120 m near the "Vines". A thick layer of clay forms the basis of this relief "cuesta". It served to fuel the tile du Tertre which the oven to three lanes heating gave his last brick in 1955.
- Saint-Fulgent had only one flour mill: Mill Bishop, who died today. In 1686 we said "unemployment in recent years"; it is sold in the year 1791 as national property. He recalled, with the "Logis" of the town, the memory of this land that belonged "to ancient times" to the bishopric of Sees.
- Population: 164 inhabitants in 2006. In 2008 the City Council stopped the names of inhabitants: Ulmofrogentins.
- Area: 832 ha
