Saint-Étienne-sur-Chalaronne has nearly 1,500 inhabitants. The village is located on the boundary of the townships of Chatillon-sur-Chalaronne and St. Trivier-on-Moignans. With neat flowering, the presence of Chalaronne, and its shops, it has a welcoming appearance.
Chalaronne through the village from east to west receives on its right bank and the Glenne on the left bank of the reach Valeins. The town is so rich in water, allowing sources to feed the wash. We can also discover an important heritage linked to water: fords, remnants of the dam, mills ... The wetlands along Chalaronne are mainly used as grassland and aspen. A pleasant trail fishing 1.5 km along the Chalaronne, allows visitors to discover the middle fish (fish, fishing, developments and management of the river ...).
