Saint-Étienne-sur-Chalaronne has nearly 1,500 inhabitants. The village is located on the boundary of the townships of Chatillon-sur-Chalaronne and St. Trivier-on-Moignans. With neat flowering, the presence of Chalaronne, and its shops, it has a welcoming appearance.
Chalaronne through the village from east to west receives on its right bank and the Glenne on the left bank of the reach Valeins. The town is so rich in water, allowing sources to feed the wash.
