Located in the heart of the Mercantour massif, in the town of Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée, in the Alpes-Maritimes, Lake Rabuons is the largest lake in the department. Dominated by Mont Ténibre, it is currently used by EDF to supply hydroelectric production in the Tinée valley.
This glacial lake of more than sixteen hectares is accessible to hikers via several equipped paths, like the Chemin de l'Energie at the start of the lakes of Vens.
