Commune of Center-Val de Loire, Saint-Denis-de-l'Hôtel takes place in the department of Loiret, in the agricultural region of Orléanais. It is about fifteen kilometers from Orléans, and only seven kilometers from Châteauneuf-sur-Loire.
Formerly known as Saint-Denys-les-Jargeau, the commune had the honor of welcoming the time of a short stay King Henry IV. Today, Saint-Denis-de-l'Hôtel is mostly considered a pleasant tourist site, especially thanks to its architectural and natural heritage. Several sites in the municipality are indeed classified Natura 2000 areas because of their impressive flora and fauna.
