Saint-Cyr-sur-Menthon

Open from early March to mid-November, the museum Planon takes place in the eponymous firm, about the life of an eighteenth century farmer. Throughout the year, cultural and festive events are offered as an Easter egg hunt or go to the garden. Ranked historic monument, the building was built in the late fifteenth century and was decorated with an extension a few years later. You can discover about twenty hectares of landscaped external courses, as well as permanent and temporary exhibitions. You will also appreciate the Travernay firm listed historical monument for its fireplace and strain.

Do not forget to admire the Barn Carrons of a building partly listed historic monument that reveals a typical architecture of the region with its half-timbered and bricks. Not far away, you can explore the farm Great Clou listed building. Restored in the early twenty-first century, it has a characteristic style of bressanes locateries and dates from the sixteenth century.

As you wander in the town, you also admire the Poype Saint-Cyr or can head to the communal church. Neo-Gothic style, it dates from the nineteenth century and is surrounded by the cemetery founded at the same time.

During a walk on the banks of Menthon, you will discover several mills, that of Cassevesce and the Bridge. A park was built near the first, including picnic tables, marked hiking trails, a sports field, a children's play area or fishing areas.

Different festivities are offered throughout the year as petanque competitions, lotto or sports tournaments.
