At the heart of the Eastern Pyrenees, in full French Catalonia, is one of seven resorts appointed in 1960 as part of the Racine project, Saint-Cyprien. Third marina in France, the resort attracts many tourists throughout the year, which brings a certain fervor and a major entertainment this southern city.

Located ten kilometers from Perpignan, the city of Saint-Cyprien faces the Mediterranean Sea, offering a breathtaking view of the deep blue sea. Walking through the streets, we appreciate smells markets where Catalan specialty smack as peaches, Roussillon Red, honey or the FUET.

With its excellent facilities, Saint-Cyprien is an ideal place to spend a dream vacation with family or friends in a protected environment. Things to see and do

Saint-Cyprien has significant natural and cultural heritage that attracts tourists from all over Europe.

The beaches are surely the most important tourist attraction Saint-Cyprien. They extend along the Mediterranean Saint-Cyprien Beach. The program on this long stretch of sand, relaxing, sunbathing, swimming or water sports. The nearby marina, certified Blue Flag for the quality of its water, you can admire many boats and enjoying the outdoor cafes and restaurants. Here, the port fountain cleans the pond water in addition to being decorative.

Built in the eighteenth century on the remains of the old Romanesque church, the church offers Saint-Cyprien under furniture of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Do not miss also the church of Saint-Etienne Romanesque Vilarasa.

The collection François Desnoyers, the name of the artist native son, is a museum with paintings of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. To accompany the works of Modigliani, Utrillo and Eugène Boudin, the works of François Desnoyer are presented, while temporary exhibitions are organized regularly.

Green spaces abound in Saint-Cyprien, including the Garden of Plants opened in 2003. Over nearly five hectares, more centenarians than trees or palms, bamboos and camellias are available under. Housed in the old park of Villa Capellans, the Botanical Garden hosts summer concerts and animations. Treasure hunts are organized for the enjoyment of children. Located between the village and the beach, landscaped park of Prade is an ideal place for families (fitness trail, 3 artificial lakes, playground and picnic).

It includes a fitness trail, 2.5 kilometers of trail, a bird sanctuary and a kindergarten. A multi sports also offers an introduction to various activities such as football or basketball.

Events and festivities

The animations are not lacking in Saint-Cyprien, a fun resort and full of life.

The Cypriales mark the arrival of spring: guitar concerts, open house offered by the associations of the city, or different sports activities. A cavalcade early May closing these events.

In June, the city organizes "South Beach", picnic citizen. The fires of St. John celebrate the longest day and give the kickoff of the summer season.

Patrol France over the city in July, while a fireworks display is organized for August 15.

The Festa Major in September closing the summer season.

Autumn is punctuated with sporting events: the young ITF international tennis tournament, the smaller Capellans tennis tournament for players 11 years playing in the league, castagnade and new wine, Muscat Christmas and Christmas Market are programmed every year.
