The Madonna website dominates the Rhone valley to 271 meters. It offers a panorama of the Massif des Grandes Rousses in the Drôme valley with a viewpoint and the second from Glay plateau, Saint-Prim to Condrieu, in the background the mountains of Vivarais Haute Ardèche, Mont Pilat, and different Pavezin passes, Grenouze, Chassenoud and port Plaisance Roches de Condrieu.
This is Mr. Emile Faure, mayor of the town from 1839 to 1852 who, wishing to thank the Virgin for sparing soldiers Saint Clairois parties in the 1870 war, erected in 1875 the statue of the Madonna of 9 meters high on the site of the old castle of which only one survives wall. The coiled black snake to the Virgin of feet symbolizes evil dominated by good.
A small parking allows parking for several vehicles. Access is on foot through a rocky path.
