Saint-Antoine is located north of the Gers, near exit 8 of the A62. Toulouse is 40 minutes and Bordeaux 80 minutes. In 2h30 we meet in the Pyrenees, the ocean or the edge of the Mediterranean.

This medieval village was created by the Antonine monks who built a "hospital" in 1146 to fight against the "fire of St. Anthony" disease caused by the ergot of rye: ergotism. After the donation of the lordship by Lady Cazals to the Antonines, the village began to build and expand from 1204. The village is fortified in 1346, only the East Gate still exists. The monks Antonins are replaced in 1777 by the Knights of Malta until 1789. The Revolution dissolves the monastic orders and returns the land to the people.
