The municipal museum of the abbey tower of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux takes place in the old tower of the abbey, on the Grand'Place. Listed as a Historic Monument, it unveils on its ground floor an impressive vault carved with incredible masks. The room hosts temporary thematic exhibitions on the history of the city throughout the year.
Upstairs, visitors can discover sculptures of religious art from the Southern Netherlands from the 16th to the 18th century. Several elements also retrace the history of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux with in particular paving tiles from the 17th century.
A second room upstairs retraces the history of Almond earthenware from the 18th to the 20th century with a collection of incredible objects. The municipal museum also regularly offers workshops, activities and even game trails for the youngest. Guided tours for groups can be organized at the tourist office.
