Things to see and do

Accessible by a tourist train classified as a Historical Monument, the Grande Lande Ecomuseum is a creation of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park. This cultural site allows you to learn a little more about the agro-pastoral system and daily life in the Great Lande during the 19th century. The whole is divided into two groups, the district of Marquèze and its Pavilion. On twenty hectares, you can discover permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Listed as a Historical Monument, the Saint-Michel Romanesque church was erected by the Benedictines in the 11th century. It presents a triangular bell-tower with three niches, a Renaissance portal, as well as ogival arches with hanging keys.

Be sure to check out the raised stone, or Grimann Stone, a rectangular stone located in the forest south of Sabres that has magical powers for young children to learn to walk.

While strolling in the borough, you will be able to discover the sacred fountains of Saint Loup and Saint Michel.
